THE VOICE COACH LEA SALONGA: Tweeted Her Displeasure To A Spoiler

International singer, Broadway star and "The Voice of the Philippines" coach Lea Salonga expressed her anger to an audience member of the ABS-CBN program for supposedly spoiling the results of the upcoming leg of the competition.

On Twitter, Lea cursed at someone who has allegedly been posting online the names of the winners of the Battle Rounds, which was taped weeks in advance and will only start airing on Saturday.

In this part of the competition, artists from the same team sing-off to impress their coach in a bid to advance to the Knockout Rounds, and then to the Live Shows.

Each of the teams led by Salonga, Sarah Geronimo, Bamboo and apl.de.ap will field artists this weekend.

Referring to the spoilers, Salonga said, unedited: "I am angry. Very, very, very angry. I am proposing that we no longer have audiences invited from outside ABS-CBN because of one a******... Thanks a lot, ********, for ruining the experience for everyone else. You no good piece of ****."
On Tuesday, the official pages of "The Voice of the Philippines" also warned against posting spoilers, saying anyone who leaks results of the competition "will be blocked/banned from our Twitter account and Facebook page."
The following day, Salonga on Twitter said she has had time to think things through, and explained why she is confident that "The Voice of the Philippines" will maintain its strong viewership despite leaks of the results.

In a series of tweets, she said: "For me, it is less about those results and more about the artists on every team that pour their hearts out through their voices. That is the part that makes this journey such riveting television.

"So, regardless of what you know, watch [the show] to witness great artistry in the singers that have made it to those Battles and Knockouts. Watch them as they navigate through the competition rounds, root for your idols when they sing.

"And praise God that our country is blessed with an abundance of musical talent. No spoiler can take that away. So don't deprive these artists of the attention they deserve. Their voices shall be heard!"

Co-hosted by Toni Gonzaga and Luis Manzano with Alex Gonzaga and Robi Domingo as V-Reporters, "The Voice of the Philippines" airs Saturdays at 8:45 p.m. and on Sundays at 8:30 p.m
