GHOST BRIDE: November 1 in Cinemas Nationwide

Kim Chiu play as the ghost bride in this horror flick. The  film also stars Matteo Guidicelli, Christian Bable, Victor, Ina Raymundo and many others.

A ghost bride is not really a ghost but someone who were paid with good money just to be a bride of a dead person.  According to Kim, her lola's cousin became a ghost bride long long time ago, and was able to acquire a building and was very rich until the day she died. 

I asked Director Chito Rono himself on how and why he learned about this Old Chinese practice.

According to the Horror Film Master Director Chito Rono, he got the inspiration of this film when he came across a bride who married her dead fiancee because of true love. From their, he learned about the now non-existing banned practice in China of a ghost bride. He became curious and researched about that old practice which was now banned in China. 

"Maybe, some Chinese in mountainous areas still practices that now though," quips Chito Rono.

I also asked him about the charm bracelet he's wearing. 

"Bigay lang ito sa akin sabi pampaswerte, tutuong bato siya kaya nakakatuwa" he said.  ( It was only given to me for luck.  It is original so I find it charming.)
