The fish . . . errr... cat is now out of the bag. The New Dyesebel is Anne Curtis! Congratulations Anne! You deserve the role. Yehey! I am so happy for you!

Anne Curtis was selected to be the new Dyesebel in the upcoming TV remake because she topped the survey as to who the fans wants to be the new Dyesebel for 2014.  Sam Milby and Gerald Anderson are Anne Curtis' leading men.  

It is now very much official, ABS-CBN remake of 'Dyesebel' will star Anne Curtis who will be playing the coveted role last portrayed on TV by Marian Rivera 6 years ago on GMA 7.

I am a little disappointed that 'Showtime' host Anne Curtis' ex-boyfriend Sam Milby is only playing the role of Liro, a merman or "shokoy".  Sam and Anne looks good together. It is Gerald Anderson who will play Fredo, the human lover of Dyesebel. 

As a mermaid, Anne already portrayed such kind of character in the 2009 ABS-CBN fantasy soap "Dyosa" which incidentally also had Sam as one of her leading men.

Other names rumored as choices for the role were Kim Chiu, Jessy Mendiola, Julia Montes, Erich Gonzales, KC Concepcion and Cristine Reyes.

Taping for 'Mars Ravelo's Dyesebel' 2014 remake by ABS-CBN starts this month.
