Just when you thought that Jayson Gainza has done it all on his previous travel show
(Trip na Trip) with Kat De Castro, Franzine and Uma, here comes a brand new show aptly called "Kool Trip , Backpackers Edition" happening every Saturday 6:30 to 7 a.m. only on ABS-CBN Sports + Action channel- Channel 23. That is channel 17 on Sky Cable.This time around, Jayson Gainza joins fellow travel enthusiasts co-host Marjorie Cornillez, and Congressman Albee Benitez. This show is produced by Kool Trip Productions in cooperation with AMT Recreation Hauz and Multimedia Services Co.
This 30-minute show primarily showcases must-see destinations in the Philippines.
Yes, Kool Trip, takes you to the different tourist destinations in the Philippines that showcase breathtaking scenic attractions. One of its aims is to unveil the rich and historical heritage of each place in the Philippines. Not only that, it also showcases people and their way of living and re-discovers places that was still unheard of by many. Plus, their food trips abound on each travel. Whoah, they get to travel and eat to their hearts content. How cool can it be to get to offer the authentic dishes and native delicacies of its featured destination?
Kool Trip, Backpackers Edition is hosted by three interesting personalities, the pride of Negros Occidental and chairman of the House Committee on Housing and Urban Development, a notable politician in providing significant facts about the places Congressman Albee Benitez.
The only rose among the thorns is Diana Zubiri's dead ringer (only taller and younger) Marjorie Cornillez, a model and entrepreneur, actress-beauty queen in the making who loves being acquainted with people from all walks of life and who is willing to try anything for the sake of adventure and discovery.
And last but not the least, Jayson Gainza, one of Star Magic’s prime comedians, who will make sure every tour is a laugh trip too as he brings the comic relief to the show.
Congressman Albee, Marjorie, and Jayson will be unearthing undiscovered places for travelers with limited means and budget. Kool Trip will also revisit and share updates on popular tourist destinations.
Now on its First Season, Kool Trip has featured places like Albay, Caliraya, and Cavinti in Laguna, Fort Ilocandia in Ilocos Norte, Pagudpod in Ilocos Sur, Balerin Quezon, and Sagada in the Mountain Province.
In the next episodes, Kool Trip explores Coron Palawan with guest director Albert Martinez. This will be shown on Feb. 28. Next in line are Oriental Mindoro, Cagayan Valley, Mindanao, and Visayas region.
